Paradise Valley Private School, powered by Pallavan Learning Systems (PLS) and under the supervision of the Ministry of Education in Oman, is a new inclusive school of the highest educational standards, encouraging learners to actualize their potential and become exemplary practitioners of inquiry, rigour, compassion, reflection and creativity. All students will be nurtured to achieve their best, regardless of their background or levels of ability.
It is an independent, co-educational day school governed by the School Management Committee reporting to a distinguished Board of Directors. The School will serve the needs of the local Omani community as well as the demands of an expanding expatriate population for a quality education system and academic facilities.
The School lays emphasis on promoting local language and culture. It will also offer Arabic Language Studies as a part of the Language Acquisition Programme. Islamic Studies and the Social Studies will be taught in Arabic for the native Arabic speakers and for others who may like to opt for it. The school will follow the curriculum as recommended by the International Baccalaureate Organisation as a IB Candidate and will provide holistic education focusing on the “Five Areas of Development (Cerebral, Emotional,Physical, Ethical and Social)”.
Starting in September 2019 as an applicant for candidacy of the Primary Years Programme, the school is striving to grow into a full- fledged school offering the Middle Years, Diploma and Career Programme and as of January 2020, Paradise Valley Private School is now a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.
Paradise Valley Private School believes in providing equal learning opportunities and support to all students, including students with special needs, so that they can grow to be the best they can be.
There will be Special Educators, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Physical Therapists to support inclusive education. In the case of young children - Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy in a classroom help ALL children. Special educators are there to support the home room teachers and co-teach whenever necessary. There will be one-on-one session as and when needed, but the idea is to have everyone learning together.
